Well it restart with the welcome but then off with that screen to nothing. I have dual monitors 1crt and 1lcd and both showed no signal and I went thru changes. But the monitors were displaying no signal input.I have a new mother board,usb 3 port card new and then this new graphic board that was professionaly installed.My roomie says bring the board back-its proably defected because I cann't download the drivers properly.What do you think?

How do i install geforce 6200

Hello! You must first shutdown your computer. Open your cpu and connect the video card on the agp slot of the motherboard. Make sure it is properly seated. Return back the cover of the casing. Connect the vga cable of your monitor to the vga connector of the video card. turn on the computer. The operating system will automatic read the new found hardware. Now try to download the driver of the video card this will give the video card its properties to change its resolution sizes and graphics output. The download site can be found here, just enter the code you see from the image and click download.

I recently bought a Nvidia GeForce 6200 256Mb AGP card to replace a 5200 card so my daughter can run her school assistance programs. its my old computer and I never had any problems with the old card...

Sounds like a Driver Conflict.
Still have the old 5200 drivers in there?

Did you install the drivers for the 6200, BEFORE you physically put the graphics card in? (Not shouting)

Let's say you did remove the 5200 drivers, before you installed the 6200 graphics card.

If you physically install the 6200 graphics card, BEFORE you have installed the drivers, Windows 'sees' a new device, and hurries up to match one of it's generic drivers.
(Windows has thousands of drivers!)

Now you come along, and install THE drivers for the 6200. Windows has a drivers conflict.
Windows: "Which drivers do I use? These, or THESE?"

Makes for a garbled graphics display as you've described.

If the above is true, start over.
Go to Add/Remove Programs, and Remove the Nvidia software. All of it that has Nvidia next to it.
(THIS, is provided of course, that the computer HAS Integrated Graphics, and does not just use a graphics card. You will be plugging the monitor, into the VGA port in the I/O area, on the back of the computer temporarily, if this is true, and this computer has Integrated Graphics)

(Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs) If there is more than one Nvidia program listed, Do No restart the computer each time you remove one. Do Not restart. Read on)

After all Nvidia software has been removed, close Add/Remove Programs, close Control Panel, and return to the desktop screen.
Shut the computer down normally. (Start>Turn Off Computer>Shut Down)

Unplug the computer from power.
Press the Power On button in, and hold it in. Hold it in for a count of 5 seconds. (Count, 1001,..1002,..1003,..1004,..1005) Let go of the Power On button. Do this procedure Two more times.

What you are doing is clearing any CMOS Error Codes, and resetting BIOS back to the factory default settings.

Open the case. TOUCH the metal frame of the case to relieve your body of Static electricity. Remove the 6200 card. Plug the monitor into the back of the computer into the VGA port. Leave the case open, you'll be going back in there.

Plug the computer into power. WAIT 1 minute, then turn it on. After Windows has fully loaded, install the GeForce 6200 drivers from that CD disk. Do Not restart.
Shut down normally.

Unplug from power. Touch that metal frame again. Install the GeForce 6200 card. Close the case. Plug the monitor into the GeForce 6200. (You did plug the monitor into the 6200 the first time, right, and not the VGA port?)

Plug the computer back into power. WAIT 1 minute. Turn the computer on. Go to Start>Nvidia>Nvidia control panel, and set the settings.

We bought a Nvidia GeForce 6200 and once we connected to our monitor everything got really big, there was no start button, and when we went to change the color it got really blury and we couldn't change it...

What you have to do is this: Insert the 6200 card. Boot the computer, do not change ANY settings. Go to this site: select these options: Product type: GeForce Product Series: GeForce 6 series Operating System: Your operating system. And your language. Then click Search and download the driver. Install it, and then change your screen resolution in Windows' Control Panel. Everything should work fine after that. I hope this helps, Yannick.

Reboots and crashes

A few things you can try:
1. If the sound card Creative SoundBlaster Audigy is an add-on card and your mb has a built-in soundcard, perhaps you have to disable it in the CMOS/BIOS and not only in Device Manager;
2. Verify that there are no IRQ conflicts or sharing between the Creative SoundBlaster Audigy and the GeForce 6200. Alternately, you can try switching the soundcard to another slot;
3. Verify that the mb allocates IRQ 5 for the sound card in the CMOS/BIOS.
4. It might be worth your while also to upgrade your PSU from 250 to something higher (even a 500 probably).

Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
