The Optical Block is probably the cause of the problem. I am not sure if it is still a Recall issue but due to the cost of the repair, I recommend you call Sony at 1800-222-SONY and see if they can assist
in the cost of repairs and also to help locate a Service Facility to confirm the symptom.
