CANNOT CONNECT TO INTERNET

My son bought the D-LINK Wireless G Router WBR-1310 yesterday, and followed instructions and connected it properly, now today he is unable to connect to internet and it's saying that the password he has typed in does not match, also he says that something is locked and he has no access

In the installation manual you have a url you can type in...its something like 192.428.111.1...ect about 10-12 numbers...type this number in the internet browser search window. this will tell you first if you have access to the internet. you should get the settings windows for your router. there you can make adjustments as needed for your rounter unit.once confirmed.

if you are having access to the wireless network you set up the password you set in is obviously incorrect when it was set up. first check the light on the front of the wireless router it should have various light on ..such as power,,usb...dsl...and internet..with the internet light flashing... as a precaution please do a repair connection on your internet access point on the computer ur using..right click the wireless icon at the bottom of your screen if ur using xp..sometimes this repair will be just enough to clear up issues.and allow access.

if this continues...you may need to reinstall the unit...there is generally a reset button (very small) on the underside of ur wireless unit and take the appropriate steps..

To reset the D-Link back to the default settings -

You do not need an installation CD to configure the D-Link wireless router

Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL..
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter)

You can now change the default password.
You can now configure the wireless settings.

You now configure the wireless card in your computer with the D-Link's wireless settings so the computer can connect to the D-Link via the wireless.

How do I to make a password for the D-Link 802.11g Wireless Router WBR-1310 (WBR1310) ?


  1. Connect via etherne cable or wireless to the D-Link
  2. Open up a Internet Explorer or Firefox, and enter http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.
  3. The username is "Admin"
  4. The password is blank (enter nothing)
  5. Then click "Setup Wizard" and follow along to change the password.

I have the WBR1310 D-Link wireless router. I


I would try one or both of the following:

1. Update any drivers or software for the D-Link router.
2. Update the firmware of the router (see page 38 of the user manual for instructions to do this). -- you can download the manual at http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=WBR-1310&rev=WBR-1310 if you dont have it.

After connecting router wbr-1310, DSL connection states "limited to no connectivity." What could be causing that problem and how can it be corrected to operate the router?


limited to no connectivity with a wireless system means that it is not picking up the signals from the internet device you have, check if everything is plugged in properly and that your internet connection (modem) has enough strength to be able to be wireless.

Fix your router again. If the wifi is fine, you just have to let the nintendo search for the wireless network and connect to it. You don't have to do anything on the router to let your nintendo to connect.
