You didn't state the Operating System you are using, so I am going to use Windows XP Home Edition for an example,

Driver - Audio

Now is that for a Soundmax? Dunno.

Do know you can look the model number up on the soundcard, if it is a SoundMax soundcard, go to SoundMax support, and download the drivers.

I can tell you how to step by step download AND install, the drivers on the HP Support page; or the drivers from the SoundMax page.

Vista Home Prem. trouble with SoundMax Audio/Adi1986A620.6200

I lost my driver (after a chrash) for the soundcard. After searching desperately for hours through all kinds of sites, I did some thinking. I started up my desktop, went to Configurationscreen and chose Hardware and sounds. Within this section I went to Device control and selected: Adjust drivers. I put the motherboard CD in the PC and indicated in the wizzard "look in map BIN". It worked! I have now installed the driver: SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_11D4&DEV_1986&SUBSYS_1043818F&REV_1005
Hope it can help someone out there;

I have ran out of memory on D section of my hard drive but have not put any thing on it I thing this could be some thing to do with backing up ? because Ive noticed that when computor has backed up memory...

You are absolutely correct. The D partition in your hard drive is getting full. Delete the old backup files to make more room in the D partition.

I have been told to delete all files to speed up computer? What happens if I delete things I am not sure what they are?

If someone told you to delete all files, they were wrong. Many files are extremely important for Windows to operate. You could delete files you have downloaded, such as movie or music files, to make more room on the hard drive. To make the computer go faster you need to
  • defragment the drive, which takes a few hours to run;
  • download and run a registry cleaner program;
  • make sure you have a good antivirus program and that it is up-to-date.

You may need more RAM inside your computer - if you don't know how to do this pay someone who does know.

Blue screen on windows vista, NVIDIA driver noted as problem, no driver available to fix crashing

Just get me the errorcode (ex:0X89c9bxf) and I will see what can be done to resolve this error.
In some cases it is possible to fix it but in most cases you will have to re-install windows. DOnt worry though you can boot from CD and install windows Vista without removing any of your old files. Start installing into the same drive. Dont format(select leave the file system intact. No changes) and at one point windows will notify you that there is another windows installation on the same drive and it will be re-named to windows.old. It won't touch any other files apart from that.
Anyways get me the code and we will try.

I bought a used GX520 and the volume does not work. There is no volume icon on the lower right corner. Under sounds and audio devices it says ''no audio device'', and I can't change anything. I own another...

sounds like ( no pun intended) your missing the audio drivers or controllers--right-click on MY COMPUTER then PROPERTIES then HARDWARE then DEVICE MANAGER and check if there are any yellow or red "X"s next to anything (you sound driver) right click and select update driver (you need to be connected to the internet)

Its a software loader tool. The guy who built this e-machine didn't do his job here are removal instructions.
1. Right-click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and choose "Manage". Go to "Services and Applications" then "Services" Right-click on the PrismXL service and choose "stop". (FOR THE NOVICE: This step turns off PrismXL so that you can remove it from your computer)
2. Next, browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\New Boundary OR C:\Program Files\Common Files\Lanovation, then delete the New Boundary or Lanovation folder. (FOR THE NOVICE: This step will delete the program files PrismXL uses to execute)
3. From Start/Run, type "regedit". Go to HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\PrismXL. Delete the PrismXL key. (FOR THE NOVICE: This step removes the entries in the System Registry that contain the settings for PrismXL)
4. If you have a shortcut in Start Menu\Programs\Startup called "Install Pending Files" delete the shortcut. (FOR THE NOVICE: This step removes an instruction to run the PrismXL install program every time your computer boots up)
5. If you have the folder C:\Program Files\SIFXINST, delete the SIFXINST folder. (FOR THE NOVICE: This step removes the folder that contains the PrismXL install files. It may or may not be on your computer)

The service is now fully removed.
After a reboot, it will no longer be listed in Services and it will be gone forever.
