The memory card is most likely an SD type and the lock swich was activated I'm including a diagram to show you the correct orientation of this switch, it must be in the open or unlocked position to function. When you have the memory card unlocked Please format the card so the camera can function properly with it. Formatting the card will insure correct programming between the card and the camera. Format the card after downloading pictures to the camera. it both cleans and restores programing so the card and camera are compatible once again.
Lock is down open is up towards the top and closest to the gold contacts
It's possible the camera is in one of the manual modes with the flash turned off. With the camera turned on and in the picture taking mode press the function button and look at the bottom of the screen. press the right or left side of the ring to highlite the auto setting then press the function button again.
Firstable go on to your camera settings try looking around for the problem if this does not work get it repaired hope you have warrenty if you don't itll be a little expensive so goodluck:) and please rate this solution...
But if this does not work send me an email i will try to think of some more solutions... CYA!
It's the memory card or SD card you have in the camera. (it sounds like)
Try taking the SD card out and if you look at it closely there is a little switch/ thing you can slide. Slide it to the other side, put it back in your camera and try again. Hope that helps
There should be a small toggle along the end side (it is tiny and easily missed, but it is there, I just checked my memory card / mine is 4GB SD card from Sony) that you can swtich to unlock
and your images may come back that way.
Look for it this way, hold the card face down it should be on the back edge where you use your thumb or finger to push it into the slot on your camera.
this is the disc that you use in your camera correct, put the disc back into camera if so go to your camera setting like if you were going to review your pics.and go to the place where you went to lock the pictures press menu find protect again hit function settings hit select it will bring that picture back up again click function again and this will unlock it. this works for my cannon but it goes something like that hope this works for you its hard to explain but i had the camera in hand its easier do it. i just did it with my sons hope i didnt confuse u
