I have had my LG 4010 for over 4 yr and now it won't indicate a full (bars) charge while I am trying to charge it. The charger red led light is on. I suspect several things, either one end or the other of the charger has some bad wiring, the phone end of the charger has bad terminals, the phone itself has bad terminal connection or the phone battery has gone bad all at once and won't show a current charging status. I don't know how to determine the cause and I don't have another charge cord or battery for this model/brand. Please advise me as to what could have gone wrong even though the charger LED light is lit ???
I will be waiting for some assistance,
Thanks

- Ok, I checked the wires on both end of the auto charger and they seem ok, I pulled the phone battery off and left the charger connected and I only get 2.6 vdc at the phone battery contacts with or w/o the charger connected. I checked the battery and I get 3.6 vdc on it. Does any of this sound right, 2.6 vdc with/without the charger??? And 3.6 on the battery? The red charger LED light is on steadily. What can I do other than buying/trying a new charger or battery OR replacing the cellphone but I like this one. Thanks, Kenny
your carrier will likely give you a new charger and battery. there is upgrade credits available and if you do not get a new phone each two years, you probably qualify for some free parts. one employee told me he told the carrier that his phone was defective and that he could not afford a new one, so he wanted to close his account. they insisted on giving him a new phone instead, at no charge. m
