If the light blinks it indicates a fault, probably in the high voltage circuit. If it is steady the problem could be anywhere. First you need to check all internal fuses. Then power supply for all necessary voltages. If this checks out each section would have to be isolated. At this point a service manual would be helpful (www.servicemanuals.net). From there it would be a matter of a process of elimination. Everything I said is contingent upon you being familiar with and capable of doing the work. These things are dangerous and best left to professioals if you are not trained. Good luck.

SOURCE: tv stuck in standby

I believe these Sony TV's have a built in obsolesence and Sony does not care about fixing them. I don't think a 7-year old TV is an "old model". Who can afford to by an expensive TV every 7 years. Shame on Sony.

Is your TV still under warranty? This problem seems common on this site with the Panasonic brand. I really can't say what exactly is causing this problem, but it seems like something in the power circuit board is faulty. My advice would be to call Panasonic's Technical Support Hotline and speak to a Technician. It could even be a problem that has warranted a recall of that particular model. The number for Panasonic's Hotline is 1-800-211-7262. Or, you can contact them via e-mail @ www.panasonic.com under "Get Support". Hope this helps...

What can be the problem of my Panasonic plasma tv model TX-L47ET5B. The stanby will be blinking green when is plug on then within few seconds it will change to red and blink 10 times.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Panasonic TX-P42X10B wont turn on - goes into standby

Hard to troubleshoot with just this info, the red light can be helpful if its 10 blinks repeating over and over replace the power supply first then the A board. Voltages check on the power supply would narrow down the culprit.
Post again if you measure the power supply voltages

Problem with panasonic tv

It is usually caused by problems from lead solder that sometimes does not connect, so there are some points of the components that are not connected with lead solder to the circuit. if it appears vertical line means from the IC (integrated circuit ) Vertical, you can solder all the points in the IC ( Integrated circuit ).
