Question about Zanussi 23 in. ZDT6252 Built-in Dishwasher

Zanussi ZDT6252 stops 1min into cycle

I have had a leak with dishwasher and when locating leak had dishwasher in bits and had to stop/start dishwasher to prevent water spilling everywhere. Fixed leak put dishwasher back together but after about 1 minute of cycle dishwasher halts and after about 5 more minutes rinse/hold LED starts to flash.

Cleaned filters, took side panel off and started a cycle. The following happens:
1. Drains water
2. Starts to fill water, level gets 2/3rds to top of plastic tank on side, whilst cleaning nozzles rotate,
3. Whirring sound from cleaning nozzles stops
4.Water level viewed on tank drops
5. Dishwasher stops
6. Rinse Hold LED starts to flash after about 5 minutes
7. Dishwasher sits like this with water in bottom of cleaning compartment.

I wondered whether in stop starting the thing I confused it's programme.
Is this possible?
Is there a reset?
Is it anything else?

You need to reset the computer on the bottom. Had the same problem with mine. The Blinking led means the heating element is bad and will not operate.

Water won't come into the dishwasher

The anti flood system could have been triggered due to a water leak or spill at the bottom of the washer, This device (polysireene float and micro switch) when triggered shuts off the inlet water and puts the washer in pump out mode only. Use a torch and check if a small amout of water is causing the float to trigger the microswitch attached to the float. If a small amount of water leak / spill is causing this you need to first fix the spill / leak. before you try again.

ADP5550 DISHWASHER RINSING LIGHT ON, START LIGHT FLASHING TWICE, BUT STUCK WILL NOT PROCEED WITH THE WASH. I HAVE PRESSED THE START BUTTON FOR 10 SECS, 30 SECS BUT THE ONLY RESPONSE IS THE PUMP ONLY RUNS...

This does sound like a problem with the "anti-flood" device that does detect water (leak / spill) at the base of the washer. This device is a protection device that consists of a polystirene float and a micro swithch. Once a water leak od spill is detected it automatically puts the washer in pump out mode. You need to determine if a leak exists that has caused the float to trigger the micro switch and clear the water / leak. This should put the washer back to normal.

Fridgidaire FDB1250REC dishwasher comes on, fills some water in bottom then cycle stops but can hear motor turning on and off, water will drain when I try to start cycle again.

This seems to be the "anti flood" device at the base of the washer is triggered due to water at the base of the washer. This safety device consists of a polystireene float and a micro switch that detects water leaks/spills and automatically puts the washer in pump out mode. You need to find the leak (hose or clamp)dry the base and rectifythe leak it before the washer works.

Dishwasher not working

This could be because the "anti flood device" polystireen float and micro switch at the base of the washer has detected a water leak from a leaky hose or water spil) This device automatically puts the pump out motor on and stops any washing process. You need to dry the base of the washer and determine what caused the water spill. This should start the washing prosess.

The part by the sink causes water to flow all over the counter

Almost all dishwashers connect to the sink drain in one way or another. Many connect (via an Air Gap valve) to a garbage disposal.
If the "metal part" is at the rear of the sink, that is the top of the air gap. When water comes out of it, that means the drain is plugged.
If there is a garbage disposal, does water drain through it? Does the disposal work?
If there is no disposal, does water from the faucet run through the drain of each sink with no problem?
Thanks for answering these questions in a reply.

Asko dishwasher won't start, just hums and gets hot

Get this every few months - don't know the problem but we disconnect from unit and tilt the dishwasher and loads of stinky water spills out - from where I don't know. Then just **** all the water out of the drain bit with a chicken baster - primative but has worked every time so far. Keep trying to get water out until doesn't hum when switched on.

Dishlex Global 2000 starts makes a constant noise tries to start up then stops. Bit of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Lights flash but does nothing

have you checked that your outlet pipe is not blocked. if it is blocked machines are designed to stop to prevent flooding. this may explain why there is water in bottom

you probably need a new control panel. The panel isn't sealed to the face everywhere, and food or water runs down the internal cable.
my panel burnt up. replacing it fixed the problem.

I caulked it in with clear caulk to prevent a recurrence.
