I configured my router (through the device page) to accept mac addresses only, so I had to go into the wii set up page, get the mac address, and tell my router it was ok to communicate with it (allow it access to internet). You'll also have to turn that feature on in your wii device as well. The cool thing is now I have mii's from other people around the world and have played table tennis with Micheal Jackson, Billy Mayes, and even JESUS!

First of all, This very playstation has been connected wirelessly before. I had it connected to my parents wireless rounter (iinet issue Belkin wireless router) it was connected there and functional for a year. Thinking that it was safe, i brought another belkin (F5D7634au4A) wireless G. I have tried - setting up the PS3 automatic - setting up manually - setting I.P, in and out of DMZ ranges - setting defult gateway as both router I.P or the 1 provided by iinet - turning securiy of the router off all together - setting up using PPPoE - Wireless mode is set to both 11b+11g - disabling the firewall - putting the set static I.P in the DMZ - and every combination of those listed above Results: - Mainly can get everything but connect to the playstation network - A few combinations have resulted in connection to the playstation network e.g: test mode, playstation store, messaging system, but never in game connection. - almost always connection to the web is possible. - All sign in's are incredibly slow in comparison to my parents. This seems to be a common problem but any assistance is greatly appreciated. - Liam
