After using my EL71 for a while, I could not send and SMS or veiw the miss calls, and when trying, the mobile shows the following notification message :''SMS memory full. Please delete old SMS'' although I have already deleted all the existing SMS from my moble, and even I did a master reset to it without benefit.

When you push "phone" button, is there a tab stating "log"?

turn up volume, change ring tone for incoming calls and messages.

Try going into your ggoogle accounts on your pc and changing your sms preferences to no voicemail notifications to see if it routes your calls back to your phone , if it does then maybe you dont need the hassle of changing sms options every time you turn on your phone. I could get no mobile calls until my skype and google voice sms options had been changed.

If your handset is not MMS capable, not configured or you do not have enough load, an SMS notification will be sent to your mobile. This notification contains the web link and password. Just go to the link you have provided and enter the password that you received.

Try the following steps. I fixed the same problem on my E71 with these.
1. move the sms which can not be sent into the draft box.
2. switch the phone to offline mode.
3. enter draft box, and send the sms
4. after the notification of "saving into sending box..", power off the phone.
5. turn on the phone again, select "no" for the question, then, wait several second, u can see the sms is sent.

Requirements
To send and receive SMS messages via a mobile phone using a Windows PC, you need:

Why am I receiving a memory full notification? Memory full warning notifications are shown once the SMS memory reaches 80% full, which is 80 out of 100 SMS.
The notifications show up every time on receiving a new message. On reaching 100%, "Memory full notification" message is shown and no new messages will be received until we make space for incoming messages by deleting some from the inbox.
Memory full warning notices are shown only if "Auto Erase Inbox" is set to Off in Messaging settings (Menu -> Settings -> Messaging).
If set to On, then these notices are not shown. By default this is set to Off.
