Re: Samsung side by side

You didn't mention if the puddles are inside or outside your Samsung fridge.

If they are inside:
you may have ice build-up that melts during the defrost stage. You could possibly remedy that be unplugging the fridge and opening both doors for 2-3 days for it to melt all the ice and air-dry out.

If they are outside:
Remove the 3 screws holding the front leg cover at the bottom front of the fridge. locate the water supply line and you will see the water supply tube enters the tube coupler on the left side. Hold down (i.e. press) the front of the coupler in, and while doing that, push the water supply line (the one that comes from the left side) further into the coupler. You may need to loosen the clamp that holds the water line before you can push it in. Re-tighten the clamp if necessary and put the front leg cover back on. That worked for me as our water supply line had apparently come loose at the coupler.

Re: Samsung side by side

This is an issue brought about by the defrost cycle. Usually, the condensate goes into a small pan under the unit where it evaporates. You will likely find that the tubes coming down from the unit to the pan underneath the box are clogged with dust. While you're there, clean the condenser coils.

Every few days I find a small puddle of water near the front left corner under the freezer of my TFH22JR.

Guys, . . . small puddle of water on the FRONT left side?? Y'know, . . under the FREEZER door??!? Maybe check the John Guest quick connect/disconnect fitting at the bottom of the freezer door just behind the front cover. It may not be fully connected, or may have a seal worn-out.

Front left side has small puddle of water. front right side has smaller puddle. samsung rs2556sh. approx. 5 years old.

This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Look for obstruction at the drain tray for the freezer. Common to have plastic wrap sucked into that area.Or gunk in the drain line. Blow through line to insure the gunk is not an issue.

Water puddling in bottom of freezer and freezing

the drain in the back of the freezer is probably full of ice. you need to pull out panel and use heat from a blow dryer to unplug the drain. then take a small gauge copper wire long enough to extend into the drain a couple of inches and loop it around the black heating element then when it goes yhrough defrost it should keep this from reaccuring
