Connect the VCR's audio/video outputs to the TV's audio/video inputs. These are the red, white, yellow connectors. get the same colored type cables and it is real easy. Switch the TV to the corresponding input selection. Of course, the signal source needs to be connected to the VCR's input

I bought the vcr quasar vhq 940 used and it keeps spitting the tape back out. How do I fix it?

It means the unit has either a bad belt or belts or a bad drive wheel--if the tape goes in the unit opens the cassette and feeds the tape out--if broken or loose belt it will not make it fully out against the video heads and will spit tape out.

Used to be by model number belt packs with a idler included to replace all at one time.

Use or hours does not matter as if the unit sits a long time or is rarely used the belts and idler (rubber) will degrade and cause problems.

Copy tape to dvd using Q-VHQ 760 & Pinnacle instant dvd recorder. Playback looks great, unfortunately there is a thin fuzzy line at the bottom which never changes. My question - how can I fix this ? ...

Check the edge of the tape to see if it's wrinkled. That is the most common problem that shows that line. You may be looking at the head switching pulse too. Since your VCR has no tracking adjustment, it has to be done with special tools, an oscilloscope and a voltmeter. Not an easy task.

Why won't older Sanyo VCR playback VHS tape on new HD-LCD TV?

Hello,
The problem is not with your TV. I have had this problem as well and the older the VCR gets the harder it is for it to turn the tape. Does your VCR react the same way with other tapes? Try Fastforwarding the tape about halfway and then test it again.

My quasar vcr does not show my tapes clearly

I should go inside and clean it by hand, using Cotton buds and Servisol VIDEO 40.
Clean any surface the tape touches. Make certain it's dry before trying a tape again.

Problem is with a Quasar VHS 960

This is probably part of the cassette carriage (the unit that loads & ejects the tape). You could possibly post a couple of pics- of the loose pieces, and the carriage mechanism- perhaps a tech here could point to where the pieces fit. Hopefully, nothing on the carriage (or elsewhere) is broken. VCRs of the last 10+ years are made to break easily- thin metal, thin weak plastic.

VCR Tape will not play, it keeps ejecting

I have a similar problem. It takes 3 or 4 times to get my Sony VCR to accept a tape. Once it does, everything is fine, until I turn it off. Next day, same trouble. I tried several tapes and brand new tapes. No difference. I have opened the cabinet and used alcohol to clean various stuff, no change.

VCR plays for a few seconds and rewinds. Now, the VCR plays tape in fast forward mode

Most everyone I know had problems with the tv/vcr combo including myself. I'll never buy one again. I'm sorry you are having the same problem.
