Re: hanah montana mix-max

I added some songs. used it for about an hour, was happy with the results so i decided to start adding some more songs. I updated the playlist, then disconnected USB port logically through windows, and saw "please wait" for about 15 minutes. So I hit the pin reset button which turned the power off.
I pressed the power button and now all I see on the mix-max screen is "starting up" with an animated clock.
Seams like a common bug with no fix!!!

I have a Disney Mix Max and the movies won't load. Please help me. Thanks

Your problem may be that your movies might not be in the correct format. The Disney Mix Max only accepts files that are MP3 and WMA for audio, JPEG for video, and WMV for video. If the video that you are trying to load is not in WMV format, you will need to format it is so that it is in WMV. Converters can be found at , generally for free or little cost. How do i download music on my mp3 player?

How to Put Songs on Disney Mix Max

The Disney Mix Max portable media player is capable of playing audio files in the MP3 format. It can also play videos formatted as WMV and display photos formatted as JPEG. You can convert audio files into MP3 using the Disney Mix Max software -- Mix It Plug-in. The plug-in works with Windows Media Player 10. This software CD came with the player and is not available online. To download music to the device, you can use Windows Media Player 10 or Windows.

Things You'll Need:

* USB cable
* Mix It Plug-In installation CD

Convert Non-MP3 Files

Install Mix It Plug-In. Insert the Mix It Plug-in installation CD into the computer's optical drive. Click "Install Mix It Plug-In" when prompted. If no screen opens, double-click on the "My Computer" icon. Double-click on the installation CD icon. Then double-click on the setup or installation file; this file is often formatted as EXE. Select to have the program saved to your desktop. Then double-click on the desktop icon -- "disneymixitplugin" to open the setup wizard. Click "Next" in the setup screen. Follow any additional setup prompts.

Open Windows Media Player 10 and create a playlist. To create a playlist, click "Library" and select "Now Playing." Drag songs from your computer to the "Now Playlist List" pane. Click the "Now Playing List" title to open the menu and select "Save Playlist As." In the "Save As" dialog box, enter a name for the playlist and select "Save."

Open Mix It Plug-In. Select "Yes" when asked to save analysis information for your music files. The software will analyze each track's compatibility with the Disney Mix Max player.

Press "Go!" to start the conversion process. Once the process is complete, an inactive "Go!" will be displayed. All music that has been converted is still listed in your Windows Media Player 10 playlist. You are now ready to download music to the player using Windows Media Player.

Windows Media Player 10

Open Windows Media Player 10 on your computer.

Remove the USB jack cover located on the bottom of the Disney Mix Max. Insert the compatible end of the USB cable into the USB port on the Disney Mix Max. Insert the other end of the cable into the computer's USB port.

Click "Library" and click a playlist name. To create a playlist, click "Library" and select "Now Playing." Drag songs from your computer to the "Now Playlist List" pane. Click the "Now Playing List" title to open the menu and select "Save Playlist As." In the "Save As" dialog box, enter a name for the playlist and select "Save."

Select the "Sync List" tab and choose "Sync List" from the menu.
Verify the items to be synced to the Mix Max, or right-click on a song title and select "Delete" to remove it. Click "Start Sync" to download music to the Mix Max.

Insert the USB cable to the Disney Mix Max USB jack. Connect the player to the computer with the USB cable.

Click on the desktop "Start" menu and choose "My Computer."

Double-click on the "Removable Disk" that corresponds with your connected device.

Drag songs saved on your computer with your mouse into the Removable Disk folder.

I River Froze~won't scan or turn on or off

There is a small pinhole reset located on the left side of the iriver e100, you may push with a small needle for about 20 seconds and this should reset the device.

Lost Installation Disc

You don't need the disk that came with the Mix Max. It's just a plug in that interfaces with Windows Media Player and it completely optional. Without the software you can still use the Sync function in Windows Media Player to synchronize songs to the player.

The memory could be corrpt in the player. It some times happens so try reformatting the memory to clear it up. This will erase everything and then you can put your songs and stuff back on it. Here's a link to the manufacturers instructions on how to format the player.

Mix max

After getting the 4MB Playlist error, I decided to play around a little bit with my 8 year old niece's Mix Max. I think I found a few tips that will help others. First off, go into my computer and right click on the drive letter that corresponds with the Mix Max. It will probably be something like E: or F: Format it for FAT32...quick format worked for me. Next, make sure you have the most current firmware. Its downloadable from

Install that, and run the program from your start menu. Make sure your Mix Max is turned off and hold the + sign as you plug it into the USB cable. It will guide you through a reset. Once you complete this, you should be able to process a sync through Windows Media Player 10 or 11. Hope this helps! I've also noticed that some songs will fail during the sync. If you remove those, it seems to help with the error as well. Might just be a coincidence.
