A 2001 Glastron GS 249 with a 5.7 Volvo Penta wiring diagram

Have had similar problem in the past with other models.
Find the point where you know you have the correct wire and connection then attach/splice a new length of wire and route it to where it should connect. Be sure to disconnect the old wire to avoid shorts, etc.
Also suggest tag this new wire with a water-proof tag with info saying that you replaced it.
Be sure to refer to the shop manual wiring diagram to be sure you are not creating shorts or other problems.

Whenever I put songs in my RCA MP3 player from blank cds, the organization gets immensely messed up, forcing me to start all over from scratch (0 music). Why? Or how can I fix this?

It could be that your RCA MP3 player is sorting the MP3's by track number. By this I don't mean the track number in the file name of the MP3 but in the "MP3 tag". There's a portion of every MP3 file that allows the file to contain lots of data other than the sound. It contains things like Album, Year, Artist, Title, Composer, Genre, etc. It's likely that the RCA MP3 player is reading the "Track Number" field of the MP3 tag for each MP3 file. You can download a free program called MP3Tag at It will let you specify the track numbers for each MP3. See if setting each file's "Track Number" allows you to sort the order on the MP3 player.

Another question How do i know what songs are on my mp3 player

Connect it to a PC and view the track list. And you will see the song list provided you have tagged them in the first place.Downloaded music are usually tagged but when you rip your own MP3 music the titles have to be manually fed into the computer.

Just bought a Charbroil 4637133 Quickset grill at yard sale and it clicks but doesn't ignite. I looked underneath and on the other side of the control panel there's a wire connected to the ignitor...

the wire is supposed to connect with a small round slip-on terminal lug. They often brake at the lug, so you are left with just a hanging wire.

Look inside the grill at the burner- somewhere you will find a small metal probe pointing towards the burner. Once you find the probe, look underneath for the other end. This is where the wire is supposed to go.

Good Luck, and Thank You for using FixYa!

The air blows but there is no heat. damn thing is only year and half old and samsung will not help

Unplug the dryer. Remove the control panel on the top. Look inside for a sheet of paper with the wiring diagram or service instructions. If you don't find one there, look on the back cover panel. (Every US appliance maker provides this, but I've never looked inside a Samsung dryer so I don't know about their practice.)

If you find the wiring diagram, you can use it to identify the wires going to the thermostats and heating elements. Now you can use an ohmmeter to check which part is open; the wiring colors marked on the diagram will let you find the terminals in the control panel going to the thermostats and heaters so you don't have to take everything apart for diagnosis. Note: in a typical dryer, if you get no heat on Medium, but you get heat on the Low setting, you already know the Medium heat element is burned out. High heat uses both elements.

If you don't find a wiring diagram, you will have to look for the thermostats and heater terminals. Usually there is a thermostat mounted on the door frame at or near the top of the opening to the drum. There will be a second thermostat mounted on the top of the heater pan or box. Usually these are supposed to be closed (you get continuity) when they are closed. The heaters should show some resistance, but should not be open.

If you find an open circuit from the control panel, it doesn't mean the part itself is bad; it could be a problem with the wiring terminal connecting the part. This is often obvious when you see it; the insulation at the terminal will show signs of overheating.

Help me!

Normal 0 I will attempt to provide a couple of solutions.

First, there can be compatibility issues between mp3 tagging versions (imbedded with programs such as Windows Media Player, etc.) and some players. I have yet to see that issue you mentioned with this player however, it's possible. The problem as you mentioned it seems to be sporadic and random which leads me to think that this is a possibility.

By the way, tagging is all the data associated with describing the album cover, artist, album, tracks, song, etc.

The possible solutions I’m going to recommend are based upon a few assumptions.
1. That the song(s) this seems to happen to, are always or usually the same.
2. You use Windows Media Player 10 or 11
3. You’re going to use these recommended procedures off the player, or on your PC.

One solution is to use a program that is compatible with mp3 tagging "ID3v2.4" which is the most current version and remove any current or previous tagging associated with the files and recreate the tags from scratch (this should be done on the pc and not the player). If you have a lot of files this seems to happen to, then it could be that all the affected file tags should be updated to ID3v2.4 and this can be done in groups.

Ok so just how do you do this?

First, what ever you do, don’t tag files in Windows Media Player, as there are documented problems with tagging in this program. I recommend using another program such as MusicMatch Jukebox or a standalone ID tagger. A free mp3 tagger that you can download is Mp3tag v2.46a.

Next thing you will want to do is re-tag (erase or remove all tag information first) the songs you already know you’re having a problem with, just do a couple initially as a test.

Then delete the songs you re-tagged from your MP3 player, once deleted, copy those same songs back over to the MP3 player and test. My hope is that this works.

The second solution is to do a firmware update on your player. I’m not going to cover the procedure here as there is a risk of damage to the flash memory. I will defer that to the manufacturers documentation.

I can’t guarantee this will solve your issue but based upon my experience, I’d say there’s a pretty decent chance it will.
