Question about BenQ FP72G+ 17" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Malfunctioning monitor (BenQ)

The computer was playing a high resolution game with normal graphics (no problems had occured before) and the monitor crashed leaving the harddrive functioning while the monitor screen itself would not turn on properly. the screen with momentarily be active then will crash with 1-2 sec. the monitor is past its warranty with fairly constant use (2-3 yrs). i have tried all the non-user interface tecniques avaliable to me such as a total comp. reset, quick restart, 24 hr cooldown, etc..... the computer is designed to work in sychronisation with the harddrive so there are no compatabilty problems which should occur. any advice in which you could offer would be helpful! (through administrative system link it is shown that the graphics card and the frames per sec and working properly)

Hi, first run the system in safe mode, if that works than u will have to look in for driver problems/settings, sometimes uninstalling the monitor & display driver then reinstalling it back will change the settings to default, try it, let me know

Have a Benq GW2750 LED screen and it is say "out of range" how do I resolve this?

This problem is normally due to incorrect resolution settings.
Change resolution to 1024><768 and try or connect this monitor to another cpu or laptop to confirm cause.
If same problem occurs on a known OK CPU then mainboard in the monitor could be defective but chances are rare. Also this screen should be under warranty.

My computer won't play the counter strike game

Hi,

This will be because your computer is not supporting high end graphics. This game requires high-end graphics as well as good video resolution graphics card.

If you are saying that you have good resolution graphics card then I think you can also check for DirectX drivers for windows platforms which are useful while playing high-end graphics games.

Thanks,
Amar

The screen resolution is kinda messed up (1680x1050) all the icons have gone much smaller than they should be, the icons on the side in the windows sidebar are smaller than normal. Also it seems to be...

install an AGP card in the AGP slot (accelerated graphics port) then you can see high resolution also you can play '3D games 'and look 'HD video' but internal display card of the 'motherboard 'does not support the high resolution because of the insufficient memory . use ' 8X AGP card' for the better result .

When I open game the monitor become black and show: Analogique shortcut 53.6 Khz/85 hz

Your resolution or screen refresh rate sounds like it is too high.

Try dropping your resolution to 1024 x 768 and see if the issue persists.

If it does then perhaps your game is trying to force you into a higher resolution output and faster screen refresh rate than your graphics card or your screen can handle.

Assuming that the graphic output is fine when your not playing this game and just using windows?

Thanks

Cannot go over 1600x1200 resolution

did you get info with the graphics card? not all can go high some are lower resolution for reasons.
and be aware that monitors can not go up in resolution forever they have a max limit so based on frequency you are using you may only get 1600 x 1200 1650 x 1080 is as high as this card will go it is listed on the side bar here under editors choice.
based on monitors freq settings you may need to adjust that to get to the max

Monitor shut down

It is possible that you are playing the game at a higher resolution than your video card can support. Even if your computer is capable of displaying a high resolution during normal browsing activity, that doesn't mean it can support the same resolution during graphics-intensive use. Try turning down the resolution and the quality in your game options and see if the problem goes away. I ran into this same issue when trying to power a 1920x1200 monitor with a GeForce FX 5200 Ultra and discovered the solution is either a lower resolution or more graphics power.

BenQ FP591 15" monitor decides to die

Strange that both should show the same symptoms don't you think? Have you changed anything computer wise? Graphics card or resolution? Screeching noise is a puzzle too. How are they powered - internally or via a separate power supply?
