Got my ipod touch wet, backlight's busted, anything anyone can do

I have a bit of a problem...i got my ipod touch wet...stupid, i know...totally should have been more careful but it's too late now. Anyway...i was lucky and let it dry for a few days in rice, now everything works great except that the screen light won't come on. I'm guessing that the water totally busted the backlight...does anyone know if there is anyway anyone can fix it?? If not I can still use it but I need a flashlight...lol.
