First, make sure your lens is also 52mm (If it's the kit lens, 18-55, it is). Simply screw it on the front of the lens (turn clockwise)

My sigma 24-70mm f2.8 doesnot work on my d7000

Could you be a little more specific about "does not work"? Does the lens not fit? Can you not view through the lens when it's attached? Does it not autofocus? Does it not meter the exposure properly?

Can i get a 58mm to 52mm lens adaptor

52mm-58mm step-up adapter
58mm-52mm step-down adapter
The difference is that one is for putting a 58mm accessory onto a lens with a 52mm thread, the other is for putting a 52mm accessory onto a lens with a 58mm thread.

Will a Vivitar 58 mm UV filter attach to a Nikon d3100 18-55mm lens?

Not directly. The 18-55mm takes 52mm filters. However, you could purchase a 52-58 step-up ring to allow you to adapt the filter to the lens for significantly less money than a 52mm UV filter. One such adapter is

I bought filters for Nikon d60 n I don't kno how to fit they told me tk buy the 55 mm filters so I bought them because apparently thats the size of my lens which 18-55 mm n now I dunno if the...

They told you wrong. The 18-55mm lens takes 52mm filters, as is marked on the lens near the mount.

You can either trade your 55mm filters for 52mm filters, or else get a 52-55mm step-up ring, which will adapt a 55mm filter for a 52mm lens.

Filters go onto the front of the lens. Remove the lens hood if one is attached. You'll see a threaded rim around the lens. The correctly sized filter (or step-up ring) screws into that.

Canon on nikon

The Canon lenses are FD mount which means that you will need to get an adaptor to convert the FD mount to fit the F mount on the Nikon. An example of the mount can be seen here:

As for the speedlights the hotshoe mount will accept them on your Nikon, put them on with fresh batteries and try them out.

Just bought a 52mm hood, but it doesn't fit... Why??! Do I need another adapter?

The hood you buy needs to be the same as the inner ring on your lens. If you look at the inside of the lens ring or on the outside of the lens it will tell you what size filters will fit your lens. If the 52mm is too small or too big you should be able to find a adapter for it so it will fit. Try going to B&H photo website. They have tons of photography items. Hope this helps.

Lens adapter needed

Get yourself a step ring, 52mm for you S8000FD, this has a thread on the end and allows filter attachments. I have an S8000FD and have since bought a step up ring, UV filter and Polariser, plus another lens cap which fits on to the end via a pinch mechanism rather than clamping like the one provided by Fuji.
