Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

Downloading music files

I seem to not be able to download album art with my music files, which automatically happened everytime I downloaded music. Does anyone know why this may be happening? I've downloaded from 3 different sites, so I doubt it's the site, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Use WMP11 to sync..??
Okay... If you have installed any of the Creative software, then you'll need to go to the Creative Support site and download the update patch for Media Explorer. This should resolve the album art issue you're having. It's #5 under "Applications".

How do I transfer album art to my Visual Land Phantom 8gb media player?

You have to add it to the mp3 file before putting it on your device. Here's how:
Also, if you get your music from reputable sources (which is much better for the economy, by the way) it should be part of the file automatically. Some audio formats may not allow for album art. When I had my Phantom, this was the case.

How can I upload album art onto a philips gogear vibe for all my artists? I have album art inside my folders and i had itunes embed the art into the files when i uploaded them; however the art only shows...

There are 3 possible ways in getting the album art for your music album.
  1. Album art may be obtained from the online Music CD database that Windows Media Player uses.
Note: Not all music albums have album art available in the online CD database.
  2. From the online music store where you purchased your songs or albums, the album art may be downloaded along with your purchase.
  3. You may also create your own album art by transferring your favorite jpg photo into the selected album folder and rename it to Album Art.jpg.
To download album art from the online database and transfer to the player.
  1. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
  2. Launch Windows Media Player.
  3. Go to Tools> Options> Player.
  4. Make sure the "Enable picture support for devices" check box is selected.
  5. Click the Apply, then the OK buttons.
  6. Select the "RIP" tab on the task menu bar.
  7. Insert your music CD into the CD drive of your computer. The Windows Media Player will take a few seconds to show the content of the CD on the display.
  8. Click "Find Album Info". The Player accesses the database hosted by and displays information about the album in the Album Information pane. The album art will be shown if available.(Note: For some music CD, album art may not be found in any of the online database.)
  9. Click Finish to update all the information about your album and show it in the Rip pane.
  10. Connect your Device to the computer.
  11. Select the tracks that you would like to rip by clicking in the check b ox next to the track.
  12. Click the Rip music button to start ripping the music CD.
  13. Once the tracks are finished being ripped to the library, go to the Media library and select the songs that you have just ripped.
  14. Add them to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  15. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  16. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.

To create your own album art and transfer it to the Device
  1. In Windows Media Player , right click on the song you want to update the album art of.
  2. Select "Advanced Tag Editor" option.
  3. In the screen that pops up , select the "Pictures" tab.
  4. Use the drop down list to make sure that the type of picture you add is the Cover (front).
  5. Click on "Add" to associate a picture as the Album art for the song and all the songs in that album.
  6. Add this (and other songs from the same album) to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  7. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  8. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.
You can also click on this link to show the graphical steps on how to upload/add album art on your songs.

Hope this information helps. If it does, please do not forget to give me a rating and a comment.

Cover Art and iPod not agreeing with each other!

Hi there,
the problem comes from the tags attached to your media files.
You must tag your files with the appropriate cover art for them to appear correctly. There is an application available for free that can do this for you:

Once you have installed it, run the program.
In the program, click File/Change Directory
Select the folder in which you've got your music files and it will open the folder up for analysis.
Preferably, you should group your songs by album to make the process easier for you.
You select the songs from the list( for multiple songs, hold Ctrl while selecting) and then click on Tag Sources/ or any other present website and use the search engine to find the appropriate album for the songs. Note that you can not search for multiple albums at the same time. Tags can be done per album.
Hope this helps,

Album art not loading

I not entirely 100% sure, but the album art is only supported with WMA, as the album art image is embedded inside of the wma files themselves and not stored separately on the mp3 player.

Album art

u can use the other mode to put the album art on it too....
just drag and drop the album art using wmp 11...
if that doesn't work the slow way is to use iriver plus 3 and add it manually.
i suggest organising your files by placing albums into individual folders with their album art...
u can also use other programs like itunes or winamp to add album art...

C cover art does not transfer to my zen vision m, only the music tracks transfer

A few possibilities. Go to,/?St=224,E=0000000000373151655,K=1742,Sxi=15,Case=obj(8179),Kb=ww_english_add,VARSET=ws:

for more details

Creative ZEN players do not currently support album art from Rhapsody version 4.0.
Album art is either embedded in a track, or exists as a thumbnail image in a separate file, allowing one album art file to be associated with an album. Currently, Rhapsody only supports album art embedded in the track. Future versions of Rhapsody are expected to support thumbnail versions.
Creative Media Explorer or Windows Media Player 10 or 11 can be used to transfer music purchased from Rhapsody to a player with album art included.

Album Art is supported by Creative ZEN, Creative ZEN V Plus, ZEN V, Vision:M and ZEN Vision players.
The ZEN Vision (PF1150) requires a firmware update for Album Art. You can download the updated firmware:
If you experience any difficulty transferring Album Art with Windows Media Player 10 or 11, to ZEN Vision:M, delete WMPInfo.xml (see below), and then transfer the tracks again.

GoGear SA3345

I have a different GoGear model (6330), but the same problem. So the solution I found may work for you, too. In my case using WMP or Rhapsody, album art was being placed in a folder on the device called Albums, when it needs to be under Music in the same folder as the album it goes with. Album art files should always be called "Album Art.jpg" and are 170 x 170 pixels. They can be manually copied or moved to the correct location by just opening the GoGear as a "drive" in Windows Explorer. Hope this helps!
