I was vacuuming up some Cheerios and dried peas my toddler had dropped on the floor when the vacuum started making a roaring noise. I cleaned the filters and hoses and replaced the belt, which did look a little stretched in one spot, but the noise just got lower rather than going away. The brush spins and there is still plenty of suction, but the noise is driving everyone crazy.
Any idea what the problem is?

Thanks! I'll start looking for repair places. $60 plus labor is still less than a new vacuum would cost, I guess=) I appreciate the info!
I have the same model and when in use the motor sounds like it is running really hard, is the motor about to do out?
When Vacuum is upright brush spins fine, when press on carpet it doesn't spin. Belt is new recently replaced.
