I want to disassemble my tv so waste management will take it.

Do not try to take it apart---aside from the three picture tubes which contain lead and phosphor--each tube has a sealed area with a liquid called Glycol---very toxic stuff like antifreeze----Do you live in California?


Most large cities have sites on the internet that will pick up the entire set at your home for free---here in San Diego there are several that do this---sets get taken to a recycle center where they are safely dismantled.


Another option you have is to post the set in the free section of Craigslist---someone may want it to fix or use it for parts---I have got rid of several sets this way---for free.
