Re: new network has been detected

You may have only 1 wireless device at your home BUT your wireless computer may be picking up another wireless signal that is near you and broadcasting. If this is the case make your wireless device the default connection. BPCS

Our access point linksys model wrt350nver2 doesnt connect with our loptops

Make sure that you have all the correct wireless settings of your network.
You can also try creating a new wireless network and then connect to the new wireless network.
Connect the computer to the router and open the setup page. Change the wireless network name and then connect to the new wireless network on your laptop.

If that is also not working then you can try to reset linksys router and reconfigure it.

I have a new ipad and it is not picking up the wireless router even though it shows full strength.

When you select the connection on the Wireless Network Scanning. Turn it OFF and ON again.

If it shows on the network and is connected.

Just click on it and then on FORGET DEVICE.

Rescan... by ON and OFF again.

Try to put the correct password for router access.
It is probably an incorrect password for granting access to the wireless network.

If it shows on other computers and the network is up and working. You should have no problem.

If the Ipad is not detecting the router, then the problem is on how the network is set up.

You will then have to work with the router settings.

Hope it helps.

God Bless You!!

Cannot connect new laptop to wireless network. Belkin Wireless N

The wireless settings on the laptop and the router should match. To check the settings on the router you need to access the setup page by typing in a web browser's address bar.

By default the password is blank.

Click the Wireless tab. And take note of the SSID or wireless network name.

Go to Security, then Wireless. If the wireless security is enabled, copy the network key or security key.

On the wireless computer, you should detect SSID and if wireless security is enabled, connect to it with the correct security keys.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Need assistance on seting up a belkin router

Connect network cable from your current DSL modem to the WAN port (or internet port) on the back of the wireless router. It should detect the connection automatically.
If not, then try running the CD software that came with the device. It should setup everything correctly.

I have used my router with no problem on my old computer system. Now that I have a new system I've loaded the Cd and double checked to see if it is connected correctly and an error comes up that it does...

You only need the CD to setup the router. All you have to do is plug the wire into the router and make sure the network card is enabled on your computer. If you are going wireless, goto the network settings in your control panel, turn the wireless on by the keyboard if you have a notebook and make sure it's enabled in your network connections. Move the mouse over to the wireless and select scan for networks. Linksys is the wireless name by default.
