My laptop charger wont charge the laptop and is

I have an A-135-S5900. This could be one of two problems. Number one would be the power cord has gone bad and you need a replacement. Walmart sells the universal type that has several different fittings with it for different laqptops. Number two would be the power cord connection on the laptop has broken loose from the motherboard. When you plug the power cord into the laptop, does it wiggle and feel loose? If it does, this is probably the problem. This one is fixable but you have to know what you're doing. Hope this helps.

an original toshiba charger is 50 dollars, using anything else is asking for big problems.

I recommend grabbing an auto-voltage switching laptop charger. I'd tryUniversal Laptop Chargers, I bought mine from them a couple of monthsago and it works a treat.

Most importantly for you I think, if you buy from them and it doesn'tfit, I believe they will give you a refund. However, a quick look ontheir website suggests they have the right head for a Dell laptop, so Ithink you'll be fine.

I personally like it since it basically has the look and feel of a 120pound charger you can buy at PC World, but for a fraction of the pricesince they're online. And it charges my mobile phone too, so I'm veryhappy with it. :-)
