Please Wait rebuilding the library

I added music to my player and deleted music during the same session with the device and I unplugged it from my computer and all it has said for the past 2 days "Please Wait Rebuilding the library" and i've tried to turn it off and on and it still says the same thing. Help!

SOURCE: rebuilding library screen

I had the same problem - I went into recovery mode by pressing play, pressing reset with a paperclip for 4 or more secs, keeping pressing play and when it comes on it should show a recovery menu. Select option 1 - Clean Up, wait until this is finished, then select Reboot (option 4?) - it may need to rebuild your disk yet again but then should work OK - at least mine did. I hope this isn't a recurring problem though....

SOURCE: freezes at "rebuilding library"

I just found this on another website and it seems to be working so give it a shot

Listen!!!!! Anyone having problems try this before you blame the product. Turn off player........remove battery.......hold on button ON and put battery back in while still holding the power button on. When power comes on release the power button. You should now see a clean format and re-boot screen. Use the clean function two times. After the second time go down to reboot and should be fine. Worked for me. The Zen Micro Photo is a sweet mp3 player. Dont blame the product for something YOU most likely did. This will fix 99% of your players problems

SOURCE: please wait rebuilding the library. Then the m250 shuts off.

Try doing a hard reset on a Sansa m250:

  1. Turn off the Sansa. Just pull the battery out for a second and then reinstall the battery without pushing any further buttons.
  2. Plug the Sansa into a computer, and open "My Documents" in the computer.
  3. Open the Sansa file as if it were a drive, then go to the "MUSIC Specific storage" file.
  4. Right click the "MUSIC Specific storage" file, and press "Format."
This should hard reset the Sansa m250. This solution has worked for me.

I do not know if this will work on other Sansa m200 type .mp3 players.

I can see ipod nano on computer but unable to add or delete music

Music can only be added through iTunes. Open iTunes and click on the device icon. Drag music that is loaded in iTunes music library onto the device. If you haven't loaded music into iTunes, you have to do that first.

Sony walkman NWZ-B135F doesnot turn on properly.. When turning it on 'Walkman' text appears and '.......' is appearing. after that no action.tried resetting also, no use

First guess. you have a large library and just added something. it is rebuilding its index

Second guess: you have other files than just music on here. it is rebuilding the library and has to scan all the non-mp3 files. Mine takes about 2-5 minutes to boot after adding / removing files

Using Windows Media Player 11 ?

1. Have WMP11 always on top for "drag and drop" usage
Right click in the head of the WMP11 page: in Tools > Options... > Player : select "Keep the player on top ..."
Restore Down the size of the WMP11 screen and adjust the size on the
edge(s) as you require for your screen.
2. in [Library] mode: under Playlists "Create Playlist" e.g. "My Playlist"
and Enter: "My Playlist" is added on the right screen side.
3. Open your music maps and ad songs by drag and drop method
onto the right saying "Drag items here"
4. when ready adding songs in [Library] mode: "Save Playlist"
5. in [Sync] mode drag e.g. "My Playlist" under the connected device
and "Start Sync": wait until al files have synchronized: a message
will show up when you can disconnect the player.

  3. Click EASY UPDATE at the bottom of the Library/Device view to activate the easy update screen
