I am having the same problem. The disk is stuck with all 6 cds and can't find anyone who I can bring it too. Any suggestions?

I have a Magnavox CDB 486 with the same problem. I took the cover off and re-tried eject. The belt on the motor that pushes the cassette forward is worn and loose. I put a little tension on it with a round nut driver shaft and tried again and it popped right out.

Now I just have to find a replacement belt. Any ideas where to look? Above the model number on the name plate on the rear it says Consumer Electronics in Kentucky for parts, but I can't find that on the web.

I have the same problem that the 6 disk cartridge will not eject. The underside of the Bose lifestyle 12 system has a area with the wording:

"manual magazine release" but no clear indication for what you have to do i.e. no buttens or anything visible to push/press/etc.

    Can anyone help?

Can someone advice me on how to open the media to release the jam cd changer?

I know exactly why mine is not ejecting. My request was for help in finding square belts for the drive mechanism, since putting a bit of tension on it makes it work perfectly. It's easy to reach and easy to replace BUT I can't find an assortment or the right size belt online. Some have suggested the, but I could'nt find them, may be looking in the wrong place. Any suggestions for drive belts for audio?

You are all correct......

as are many other people with 6 disk cd changers in the same boat. check out this web site i have found at least 15 others with the same problem ( round about , but all problems relate to the 6 disk cd changer.)
the 6 disk changer is not excluse part to bose.
i recommend forcebaly removing the dam thing trying not to damage it further,( savge smashing the cd changer cassette) and trying to get a new one somewhere)

really though, you should consider surgury, - > open it and obtain spare parts to repair in the usual bodging fashion. ( that is to say any way you can ) or else return to manufacturer for remanufactured or replacement units at a cost or try to find replacement units on line such as ebay.

    Hi Regarding the belts,

that is likely to be indicitive of another problem,

it seems unlikely that the belt will have stretched,, however it is likley that lubrication on motorised parts (driven) has become viscous, if you have it apart already, the existing lube can be cleaned with either spirits or specialised de greasing circuit board cleaner and cotton bud.

if however you are sure belt is at fault, increase the diameter of the drive pulley with a very small rubber band and some some super glue if necessary and , this will provide an increase in the belt tension due to friction and the increased diametre.

hope that is a more helpful suggestion.

My disk is in the cd/dvd and it wont eject the cd/dvd is less than a year old. why is it stuck?

You should have a small pin hole on the front of the face of the cd/dvd drive that you could put a small paper clip in and eject the cdrom drive. Make sure the computer is off before sticking the the paper clip in the drive.

Printer does not eject any ink when printing. All ink cartriges are new & full. I've cleaned & deep cleaned the ink heads. I am able to make copies.

if you can make color copies standalone fine then there may be junk files on your pc preventing you from printing.try disk cleanup.

Gear grinding noise

Sounds like it could be the toner cart is not mating properly. Sometimes this could be simply that the spring and flap arrangement on the plastic case of the cartridge has become misaligned. It is not necessary to have the flap(cover) present once the cartridge is installed in the machine. Just remove it in it's entirety if you can't re-align it.

Not loading game

the reason it makes the "grinding" noise is because the motor that moves the lens to read the disk is dieing, this generally happens when you have played your ps2 for a long time, this only happens to older consoles.
