Re: Toshiba TDP S8

First make sure your signal cable is ok and well connected.
Next check the projector input settings in the menu, and confirm that you have the correct input selected.
Also make sure your Laptop display settings allow for an external monitor.

My laptop was newly formated, after that I cannot use my TDP-S8 projector. There is no signal from computer

The Display driver may not installed properly, or not configured because the display has dual display mode which could be switched from Fn+Function Key, or by restarting the computer while projector is connected.

Toshiba's s8. Designed to deliver stunning images in breathtaking XXL format, the TDP-S8 features 2000:1 contrast, the latest DLP technology for brilliant color and sharpness, and 2000 ANSI lumens brightness for top performance. The product retailed for close to two thousand dollars. Due to problems production was discontinued. If it works for you then you got a good deal. Toshiba TDP S8 projector shuts down suddenly

The reason why the projector is shutting off is so the lamp doesn't explode. It's more of a safety feature on the projector, you can reset the lamp and it might work for another 500hours. If the picture is still pretty bright I can get you the reset procedure, but be warn that when the lamp does eventually blow it could shatter the glass inside, so be careful, it shouldn't hurt the unit.
