Re: E Machine T6520 shuts off when trying to play...

Check your systems cooling - often, games require more system resources, and can dramatically increase the amount of heat your system puts out. Some motherboards have a built-in reboot switch that causes them to reboot the computer once a certain temperature is reached.

When your computer is starting up, hit the "delete" key on your keyboard. This will bring you into your BIOS menu. Be very careful in here if you don't know what you're doing, as you can fundamentally alter the way your computer starts up. Look for an option marked "System Monitor" or something along those lines, and check if there is an option for "auto reboot" or "reboot computer at temperature". If it exists, try increasing it to the next suggested level and then save changes, and exit to your BIOS.

If that doesn't work, try installing new cooling fans or heatsinks according to your processor's specifications.

Monitor shuts off and on

I had the same problem, so I switched the Auto Source feature to "Manual" and so far it's working fine for the past 2 days, if I run into the problem again I'll update this message.

On the side panel of your monitor, press the top button to access the menu, scroll down to the setup menu (by pressing the 3rd button down on the panel), press the 4th button down to enter the setup menu, scroll down to "Auto Source", use the 4th button to select, "Auto" & "Manual" are your choices.. press the 2nd button down to select "Manual" then the top button to exit the menu(s).

This monitor is set up to be able to do multi display with the software included. Utilizing both Digital and Analog signals. I'm not using this feature so I'm not sure how switching the Auto Source off will affect the performance of this feature.

E machine T3418, won't turn on

I wonder if your computer is overheating. Try powering off the computer and leaving it off for about 30 minutes, then try turning it back on to see if it boots up.

You also might want to try to open the computer and unseat and reseat the memory modules (of course when the computer is powered off).

While online playing a game the computer shut off and when turning it back on it said to insert a disk. I don't understand why. I was not playing a game with a disk. what other problems could I look for to...

Usually when you download and install a game from the internet onto your computer, they can come with unwanted viruses, malware, or other intruders. These can very much shut your computer off. Try scanning your computer with threatfire and norton. you can get a free trial free for both. Once these problems are found and fixed, you shouldn't have the problem.
