Hi, my WD hard drive is connected to my macbook, but can't access
hi, my WD hard drive is connected to my macbook. The blue light is solid and when I launch the Finder, the WD disk does not appear under 'Devices.' I've tried unplugged, disconnected and reconnecting but this has not worked. How can I get the disk to connect to my macbook. NOTE: my iPhoto library and iTunes library are also on this external disk.

check under the system profiler which can be found in the applications
folder and then in the utilities folder. See if under usb whether the
drive is showing under there. If it is, open up disk utility and use
the verify disk to see if there is a problem with the drive, if there
is use the repair disk to repair it.
Other things to check try a different usb port on the macbook or a different usb cable.
