I have a LG W2361VG monitor and I can't get it off Power Saving Mode. How do I get it off of that sleep mode? And every time I turn on my computer, I tired moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard and it still in Power Saving Mode.

These are just suggestions, not sure if it will fix your problem (not listed in any order but only do one at a time)

1. Change BIOS battery (reset BIOS)
2. Clean out machine (dust, reseat cables, cords etc...)
3. Try removing the power cord from the monitor, hold the power on button for ten seconds then put the power cord back on
4. Try reseating the video card.

Hope this helps.

Monitor has gone to power saving mode

Hello, The reason your monitor switched to power saving mode is because the operating system on your computer told it to. A computer left on and unattended is programed to sleep/hibernate after usually a short period of time. Without going to in depth, There are stages of sleep and after time the hibernation deepens. However, moving the mouse or pressing a key should take it out of sleep. Microsoft has a support page for this issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/266283 Good Day

I can not turn off the sleep mode on my LG Flatron monitor W2361VG-PF

This monitor has a manufacturer's defect in two of the wiring harnesses: the harness going from the controller board to the power button (4 grey, 1 blue wire) and from the power button to the side controls (3 grey, 1 blue wire). Open the monitor (snaps apart, no screws) and gently tug on each wire individually. One of them is causing the problem. You can replace the harnesses, try to fix them, or solder new wires directly to the pins.

LG Flatron L177WSB-how would I use my newly purchased unit after switching it on, LG logo appears followed by the Power Saving Mode it all goes black on the screen.

Hi, the Power Saving Mode, turns the screen off to conserve energy. On the remote, press Menu, and scan to Power Saving Mode. You can change the amount of time, when the Screen turn-off, the TV shut-off etc. You can set the time to (5 min) to, (never, turn-off). This should help with your problem. Thanks paul7of9

LG W2261 + Windows Vista + Power saving mode

When you have access to windows, go to control panel and select Power options and change to time windows puts the monitor to sleep. You can set it so the monitor from a couple of minutes to never goes to sleep. This might help your problem.

LG w2361vg sometimes get stuck in DVI Power Saving Mode

Maybe you can update your video card driver. My wife notebook is connected at times to my DELL17" flat screen and ever so often it cuts off in the middle of something. I update the video driver and reset the monitor to factory settings and it's working like a dream.
I suggest, you use the menu buttons on the LCD and reset it ot factory settings, and possibly update your video card.

Digital power saving mode

Are you sure someone hasn't changed the power setting in windows. I've seen similar tricks pulled by so called mates. :-) If windows is OK then check the manual for the monitor and if you still can't crack it take it for a ride to the repair shop. It is under warranty after all. BMW
