If you Attack a External monitor does it work? Can you see the desktop on the external monitor? There are a few things to check, backlighting, Inverter board, the ribbon cable in the back of the monitor, the switch that controls the on/of when the lid is opened/closed, the monitor or graphics is gone/out. Take a look at this procedure to troubleshoot:,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.43828540,d.eWU&fp=2424e7d823784972&biw=1141&bih=593

Hp laptop have a greenish blob on screen

Connect a external monitor to eliminate the Graphics adapter, You didn't supply the Make, Model of computer or the OS you are using? If the blob isn't on the external monitor I would suspect the Laptop monitor, and damage? You could also try to roll back the graphics adapter driver to verify the driver.

I have a 2 1/2'' black blob on the lower right corner of my ibm R51 monitor, with pixel stripes going up the length of that corner. Do I need a new monitor?

It sounds as though the display may need replacing.
Try calling your local computer repair place for replacement of the display or Lenevol if your laptop is still in warranty.
I hope this healps.
Have a good day and good luck.

There are two black blobs at the bottom of my laptop computer screen. I think it was caused by some chocolate milk which I spilled on the computer by accident the other night. When i push the blob, i can...

You would definitely need to spend little money. Take the laptop to a nearby laptop repairer and explain to him what you have just wrote down here. He would know better. But you would not spend lots of money. He just needs to clean it off.

Best regards

Why does a blue line appear on the right side of my laptop screen and how can i repair it?

The cable has come loose from the monitor to the graphics card. To fix this (depending on your laptop) remove the black rubber from the edges of the screen, once done you will find screws that will enable you to unscrew the screws and remove the bezel arround the edge.

There are three or four screws either side of the screen. Pull the scren up (but don't let it come out of the frame). You will see 2 thin wires wich have a connector at the bottom (like a Floppy Drive connector) cable at the bottom of the monitor.

Underneeth the plastics where the power buttin and the media buttons are is a seethrough bar which have connectors at each side. Connect the relevant cables from the monitor to each side.

Reset the monitor in the higes, sscrew the screws back in and replace the bezel scewing the screws on the bezel and replace the blobs over the screws
