Question about Canon PIXMA MP530 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Problem printing The computer tells me there are 2 yellow cartridges in the printer ( there's only one of course), and so I can't print.  Over the last couple of months this has been happening  very frequently. By opening the printer, taking the cartridges out and replacing them etc,  it fixes itself sometimes, but then it just comes back again. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Tony

I can't print yellow. how i can fix that?

You should make sure that the plastic seal is removed from the cartridge if it is a new one. Also, go into the printer's utility on your computer or system preferences -> printer and there should be an option to print a test page/ blow out the cartridge. Also sometimes the tips of cartridges dry up when they aren't used frequently so taking the cartridge out and pressing a slightly damp cloth against the nozzle surface of the cartridge can moisten it up and then you should be able to print normally.

HP will not recognise new cartridge

The problem you are describing with the yellow cartridge sounds like ink starvation possibly due to a clogged print head or an air bubble in the print head. Since the machine is so new I would contact HP to get the print head replaced. As for the magenta cartridge, exchanging it for a new one at the store you bought it from should fix the problem. It sounds like the chip on the one you have is either damaged or wasn't set to read full ink levels.

Lexmark X5150 yellow and black ink not printing

Take a piece of kitchen tissue (not cloth) dampen it and wipe over the print heads. If you don't see any ink on the tissue do it again until you do, Then let them air dry and try again.

I have a used C60. I have replaced both ink cartridges with Epson cartridges. When printing in color, the colors are not accurate. For example, red comes out yellow. Also, there are lines running through...

Hi there. The reason for your problem is that the colour cartridge contains cyan, magenta and yellow ink, plus a black cartridge of course. All the other myriad colours are produced by mixing these four basic colours. So, if you print red, it requires ink from both the magenta and yellow cartridges. Thus if your red produces a yellow print, it means your magenta is not printing. This can be due to a number of reasons, mainly an empty or faulty magenta cartridge or blocked magenta print nozzles.

If you wish me to help you with sorting out the lack of magenta, please post a new comment to this effect.

The yellow-print-cartridge
light is blinking, and the
printer stops printing.
 The print cartridge is
empty or missing.
 The printer cannot
detect the print
cartridge correctly.
1. Reinsert or replace the print cartridge.
2. If the print-cartridge light is still blinking but the
Attention light is not on, turn the printer off and
then back on.
3. If the problem persists, repeat the above steps
with yellow print cartridges until the error is
4. If the problem persists, replace the printcartridge

pressure assembly of the print-cartridge

Lexmark X1100 printer will not print black

I came up with a work around for printing black.

I changed the black cartridge with the color cartridge.
Then when I have a letter to print, I change change (or write) the letter text to yellow, red or blue.
Then I can print out a letter.

By printing the text as yellow, red or blue the cartridge will try to print with only 1 color, but will print out black.

If you do not use one of these primary printing colors the out put will be unusable.

I can not of course print out pictures.

Yellow Light on HP K550 indicating open panel will not turn off.

If the printer is connected to your computer - check to see if there is a blinking Red exclamation point / printer icon in the system tray. Sometimes mousing over this icon to see the tooltip is the only way to figure out what error message the printer is trying to tell you.

For us - when this happens, the printer is complaining about an "incompatible" ink cartridge - even though 99% of the time it will print from that cartridge without problems. So try removing and re-inserting all of your ink cartridges too.

Install cartridge

I have the same problem with my magenta. I've installed a new cartridge and it just keeps telling me it's out. For awhile it was allowing me to print in black only, but now it just won't do anything. HELP!
