SOURCE: Missing Cable Connector

After you remove the tuner from the main board and remove the 2 covers from the tuner, straighten the metal side of the tuner where the hole is for the F connector. If you look at the PC board inside the tuner, there is a small hole in the board directly under the hole in the metal for the F connector. Usually there is a small piece of the old F connector's center pin still soldered in that hole. If it is there, unsolder it and throw it away. The new F connector will be soldered in place over the hole in the side and a small jumper wire soldered from the center pin of the new F connector to the little hole in the PC board directly under it. Be careful when soldering on the tuner's PC board because the parts are extremely small and close together, and lost SM parts and solder bridges are possible. Be sure none of the coils in that area have been squashed over, which is what I usually see when the costomer sticks something in the hole left in the tuner. If the coils are squashed, you can straighten them with a small pair of tweezers or remove them and rewind then around the proper size drill bit. Let me know how you make out.

What you're trying to do shouldn't work unless the VCR has a digital tuner in it or your cable company still hasn't converted over to digital as of yet. You will need to get a digital cable box from your cable company.

Connect the av cables to either the front or back of the television. I believe the front is av/video 2 and the back is av/video 1. You have to choose either video 1 or video 2 from the television's menu in order to access these parts of your television.

Connect the cable box to the other end of the av cables and you should be all set. You would change channels with your cable remote and always leave the Sharp television on video or

What you're trying to do: Connect the cable to where it says in on the back of the vcr. and connect the av cables to the vcr where it says out. You will have to do a channel scan on the vcr.

How to hook up headphones to a sharp 27ns100

It looks like your TV has stereo AUDIO OUT jacks on the rear panel (L and R) which you can use to connect headphones. Go to a local Radio Shack or other electronics retailer and ask for help with the required adapter cable and connectors. They should be able to direct you to the product(s) as Radio Shack has these simple adapters and they should cost very little. All you need is a simple RCA cable with the white and red plugs for the TV side and depending on your headphones, either a 3.5mm or larger connector for hookup on the headphone side. They also sell extension cables so you can move away from the TV more. Don't let them sell you anything fancy or expensive as this is really simple.

On the front of the TV you should be able to press both channel up and down at the same time and it will give you access to the TV menu. Once in the menu use the channel and volume up and down buttons to navigate.

Good luck....
