You won't have any luck doing that. First off, CDs [including CD-Rs] can only hold 70 Mb of data. DVDs can contain anywhere from 4.7 Gb to 50 Gb of data. That amount depends on if the DVD is a single layer, dual layer, BlueRay or High Capacity BlueRay disc. Therefore, a CD simply does not have enough storage capacity to hold the info on a DVD.

According to the manual, http://www.jensenmobile.com/mobile-multimedia/?sku=VM9216BT under the Support/Manuals tab, the VM9216BT reads VCD, SVCD, XVid ,AVI, MPEG 1/2 formats. Commercial DVDs will work if you match the device Region with the discs region code. (All or Region 1 in the US). The DVDs should be DVD-5 (single-sided, single layer), DVD-9 (single-sided, double layer), DVD-10 (double-sided, single layer) or DVD-18 (double-sided, double layer). Note: video CDs and DVDs, like audio CDs, need to be finalized by the drive that burned them.

No. Blu Ray media requires a different device technology provided only by Blu Ray players. It will not play on a DVD player.

Multi-Layer support means the drive can Read/Write a Dual-Layer discs.

Lightscribe means you can create a label on a disk.

DVD discs come in two capacity sizes.
Single layer DVD have a capacity of 4.7 Gb
Dual layer DVD have a capacity of 8.5 Gb
Some DVD burners are single layer burners only and cannot burn dual layer discs.
The error message you are getting would indicate that the disc you are using is not large enough to copy all your program material.

try to clean the lens using coton and water if not working change the lens.

Ya didn't say what Operating System?... Ensure ya have all the correct "Settings" in the Burn software. Sometimes the actual type of DVD media can be an issue... some dvd's just don't "Like" some DVD's I have found... try the best brand ya can afford... if still no go.. try Alcohol 120% & CopyToDVD both use their "Own" "Drivers" and I have had great success.. where others have failed..
