We just had a built in sub zero over under fridge/freezer installed. The fridge works fine and the freezer worked fine for 4 days- now it's registeres 80 degrees. We turned it off and on but it didn't help. We do hear a clicking sound.

- This was very helpful. I'll call service and have them check out all the possible problems. It sounds a little too complicated for us.
Thank you for our help!
The clicking may be a relay trying to work, You may have a faulty thermostat or temp sensors. The defrost timer can go bad as well. You can test any component with an ohmmeter. Do check that the entire system is getting power with a voltmeter. The area between fridge and freezer, check to see that it is not hot, the fan is inside here and may not be blowing, also check that the compressor is pumping. If not pumping, then there is no freon flow through the system, and either the pump or the power is off. You can go to repairclinic.com for parts and manual and also partstore.com as well

I came home one day to find the freezer had quit freezing, and the temp was 52 degrees. I can push the button to display a lower temp and after 15 seconds returns to the 52 degrees or whatever it feels like going to... Why does it not stay at a freezers temp?
