You just need to right-click on the Desktop Screen, and then click Properties. Hit the Settings tab and then adjust the slider under "Screen Resolution" to your preferred value.

Z60m motherboard not recognized

Most restore disks are designed to work only with the ORIGINAL equipment. If you had replaced the motherboard with an identical unit the disks would have worked. But you used different board with different drivers, etc. What you can do is using another computer you can backup the files on your hard drive to a usb stick and then reload the hard drive with your OS of choice , load your programs and then transfer over your backed up files on the usb stick.

Problem with dirver vga for IBM Desktop with Windows Vista

Maybe it is no the driver. Try to adjust the resolution of your screen. Right click on your desktop > Properties > Settings tab, then adjust the resolution to 1024 x 768 then apply it. If you really need the driver, go to device manager and, look for Display Adapter, right click on the video card and click on Update Driver. Let it search online for the updated driver.

New battery not charging for ibm z60m laptop

If that is the model of the new battery, then it looks like a compatable battery. It's quite possible it's simple a defective one. I woudl suggest calling the place you got the battery from and let them know it's not working. Check the following link, it has the official supported batteries listed for your model:

About my loptop

Try right-clicking anywhere on the blackened area of your desktop, a menu might appear. Scroll down to Properties and click. In the Display Properties window click on the Settings Tab and see if you can re-adjust your screen resolution here, if not then read on...

Power off the laptop. Power on the laptop while holding the F8 key or both the SHIFT and F8 key together, if it boots to the Windows start up screen, power off and try again. This will bring up a menu, you will want the BOOT INTO SAFEMODE menu option.

After the safemode boot process, see if your laptop will display graphics (it should default to 640x480 mode and you should be able to view most of your desktop icons). Right click any where in a black area on your desktop, a menu will appear. Scroll to Properties and click. In the Display Properties window, click on the Settings tab and adjust your screen resolution from here.

Let me know if this works or not.
