I've been able to format and use my micro sd card on my SGH-t629, but it is having problems with inconsistency. About every other time I remove it from being plugged into the pc it acts as if most of the files I just put on it aren't there! I know they are because when I put it back in the pc... there they are! I also can put music files into any other folder BUT the one titled "music". Now when I put the card back in my phone, it acts as if there's NOTHING on it, even though the computer still says there is! I've only had it for a week, and I'm already tired of it! HELP!

You have the option to format your memory card in the phone only under memory card section. But you can also do it via a computer, just unplug the sd card and the connect it to the computer via card reader and then format it. It will clean the card nice and easily.
the first solution is to keep some of your phone memory clear, atleast 2 mb.........also keep some 100 mb free space in memory card also...if the card and mobile is fully loaded then the cam is almost dead..........
the next suspect must be your memory card, which has been affected from viruses, while you ve transfered files or received files from untrusted devices, which eventually destroys ur mobile also....... even ater changing memory card, you still face the same problem with a new or formatted memory card, then the problem is caused by virus and sometimes it might be software failure also, which causes some of the menu not tofunction, the only solution is to flash ur phone software from the nearest samsung sevice centre,it also updates your mobile software which increases the mobile speed....
Be careful, if you use the USB cord to plug the phone up make sure that your not formatting the entire phone.
Did the Micro SD card come with the bigger card to plug it into making it a standard size SD card ? If so then you can plug that into a card reader if you have one go into MY Computer, and right click on the drive of the SD card click format.
Those are the only other ways of solving said problem if you can't do so on the phone itself. Also the phone may not accept a memory card of such size.
Just try formatting the SD card. Hope it works fine.
Just connect the micro SD with computer.(You need SD adapter, SD card reader, and USB connection) Most computer will recognise the SD card automatically. Format the micro SD in the Window Explorer(or My Computer). Format menu can be found if you click right-button with cursor on the drive letter. After formatting, re-insert micro SD into your D900. Some Korean experts says the problem might be caused by different file system (e.g. FAT, FAT32, etc) in each memory card. So they recommended not to share your memory card with different mobile phones as well as any electric devices (eg. MP3 player and digital camera).
You have to format your micro SD memory card with your phone first before you can download files to it. With the micro SD memory card in your phone. 1)go to menu 2) go to settings & tools 3)go to memory 4)select card memory 5)***SELECT OPTIONS*** ---this will ask you if you want to format your card select YES, if there is a phone password it would be your last 4 digits of your number.
Now eject the memory card from you phone. Now when you put the memory card to your computer you should see the sub menus...my pics..my videos...my music...my sounds. Now all you have to do is just click and drag your music and photos to these folders.
Then when you add the memory card to your phone it will see all the music, photos, etc...
If your music files are in a folder you cannot add them to play list, but if you have all your songs singly you can add them to your playlist, I had the same problem tonight with this phone, we added them individually no problem, this has worked but is a lenthly prosses, so far so good, not had a play about with them other than this, still to get them back as an album not yet done, Jackie
Any problems ring virgin, they were very helpful, SGH-J600 User guide not explained very well
