my truck will not start due to the key not working in my ford pick-up. how much does it cost to fix it?

Does the key turn in the lock cylinder? What year is the truck? Did you get the key cut at some random key place, or was it Vin cut at the dealership? There are a lot of variables that need to be eliminated before anyone could even come close to answering this question.
