This has happened to me also on my last two phones. Every phone comes with a 1 year factory war. If it has not been a year call and tell cingular your problem and they can get a new phone sent to you. If it has been over a year and you have insurance then you can pay you $50 detuctable and they will send you a new phone. If you dont have insurance then hopefully your close to bein able to upgrade. If not you will have to purchase a new phone. Look on ebay and just get a cheap one to last you till you can upgrade that way your not having to dish out 3 or 4 hundred dollars.

Okay you need to have the screen replaced if you know how to replace you can do it yourself or take it to a professional mobile tech and have them replace it for you.

Motorola razr v3 display went out

Either your flex cable is broken or came loose. Is the top left hinge button still intact? Is it loose at the hinge? You will need a Torx 4 screwdriver to take the LCD screen apart to check the flex cable inside.

you may have a faulty phone ...needs to be returned...the flex cable in the screen is damaged or loose.does the screen come on at all?
if it does that means your screen flex cable is faulty and if it doesn't your main flex cable is loose maybe from a fall or water damage. This needs to be handled by a qualified service tech. to get to the main flex cable the screen cover would have to be removed via the four screws located under the 4 rubber stubs on the main inner screen. You need to have a t6 otr a t4 screw driver to remove the cover.the main flex cable pops right off but the ear piece flex cable is a little more difficult.thanks !

Motorola Razr V3

this problem has probably occured due to the phone being knocked. i used to have a motorola l7 slvr and it did exactly the same, i found that if you hit the back of the phone fairly hard the screen would come back on. im not sure if it is the same for the razr but hey its worth a try. ti be honest i think motorola are terrible mobile phone manufacturers but great 2way radio manufacturers

White screen`

the white and black screen issue on the Razr V3xx can be a bad LCD. If the LCD is good then the issue is on the main board. The most common failure is broken contacts on FL6505 and FL6504. resoldering might hold up for a while but replacement is the best option.

the side view clearly shows the damage to the filter. this is only visible after the solder is removed.

hope this helps.

Black Screen

Hi, before sending it in or taking it to a Motorola repair station, try this. Open phone turn it over so camera is facing you with finger behind and thumb of your right hand sweeze the area between camera lens and the vol up down button to reseat the ribbon connector that is located in that area between the cases. This worked for me and it is worth trying.
