Question about Toshiba Satellite A60 Notebook

No picture on the Screen!

Hey everyone,

well my laptop is about 2 years old, and today when i went to turn it on, nothing came up on the screen! The light showed that it ws charged and u could hear it starting up, but there was nothing on the screen. it was blank as if it was still turned off? Any ideas as to what i can do?

try to plug in a extrernal monitor and see if that works if it does your backlight went out

Tv screen goes black


No, if the picture of your tv screen is clear when when you watching. the troble of your tv is looseboard, and you replace your CRT socket too.

Mitsubishi WD-52628 52" Inputs look like old cable scrambled channels


Change the 1000uf @16v capacitors on the FMT board that should solve your problem. You will most likely found that they have swelled. Let me know if you need further info.

The set is almost 10 years old and has always worked perfect until today. . .


It soulds as of your solder joints are getting old and starting to crack. If the screen goes completely black then I would resolder all the major solder joints on the main PC board, and if you mean that the screen goes to all snow (as if the cable went out) then I would also pull the tuner and resolder the joints inside it too. If you do not have experience soldering on small PC boards then allow a qualified tech to handle it for you. The fact that it works sometimes means that all major components are fine and the repair shouldnt cost too much.

Scrolling through menu on it's own


I'm having the same exact problem. does anyone have suggestions? mine is going through the menu and other video ports without cause. mine is also about 2 years old and started doing it today. its always been in a dust free clean enviorment. please please please help.
