Siemens phone goes dead in DSL filter

-   This DSL filter worked fine with my old phone/old phone wire, but when I disconnected that and connected my new phone/new phone wire instead, the new phone stayed completely dead, until it was plugged directly into the wall.

To solve this, I bought a different ADSL broadband filter, and this worked fine with my new phone. It must be wired slightly differently, as the new filter has 4 wires in (red/green/yellow/black) while the old filter just had 2 wires in (red/green). Anyway, it works.-   williambruet
