You can use a 9 volt battery to test wire polarity
. Hook up the + wire of the speaker to the + terminal of the battery and the - speaker to the - battery terminal. If the speaker moved UP or OUT then the wiring is correct.
If it moved IN or DOWN then the + and - wires are backwards on the speaker.

Also if you have two or more speakers hooked together test all the same way while they are hooked to each other. ALL of the speakers need to move in the same direction at the same time.

Clipping causes more speaker damage than anything. "Dirty Power" can happen in good quality amps too. The gain control is to match the voltage between the headunit and the amp. It is NOT a volume or boost knob. If you overdrive the first stage of the amp and then clip it damage will occur to the amp and speakers at some point.

Hope this helps.

Hello from Venezuela, it's possible that speaker is bad, open the tv and find a tester, wiht the tester in beep continuity test mode and the tv off, put in the speaker terminals the pins off tester respectibly, in the tester screen must view something like this: 7.95 to 8.20 or 3.80 to 4.10. And must hear a beep sound from tester, it means the speaker is ok.
If not, the built in sound amplier is provably bad and you must change the aplifier IC with a experience o certified thecnician...

How do you hook up the dynamic linear drive on a kenwood basic m1 power amp to the speakers?

dynamic linear drive refer to the amplifier circuit. How ouput stage a driven.
How to connect speaker refer to sigma drive. its fairly simple, you start whit (for one channel) 4 wires and finish whit 2 at the speaker. (you joint positive together and negative together).

Normaly the feedback loop a closed inside amplifier circuit. Sigma drive give you the possibility to close it at the speaker connector. Doing like this give a better performance from differential amplifier by skipping speaker wire resistance.

Drivers side speaker don`t work no sound it did at 1 time!! what could be the problem and how to solve

Check the continuity of the speakers using a tester.. set it to 10K Ohms. If the tester moves then you have a good speaker but if it doesn't move, then you have to replace your speaker.

You might want to check the speaker volume balance first... ^_^

865G7MF Motherboard. No sound. Drivers updated and device manager reports OK. speakers plugged in properly.

Check the Speakers. Get a Multi-tester, and set it at 1 x 10 Ohms. Speaker plugs have three sections. (Ground, Left speaker, and Right Speakers). Place the black multi-tester prong at end of the Speaker plug while other red multi-tester prong at
the second section. The reading must be zero. With
the black prong steady at the end, place the red prong to the third section. Must be Zero reading.
Otherwise, you have to buy a replacement.

Logitech Z340 Power speaker problem

yeah you can fix that one into your own. first thing that you do is get a multi-tester and put the two terminal the red one and the black into the tip of male plug of you wire. then set your multi tester into the ohms selector any ohm selector which found at the right side of the multi-tester. if the arm of multi-tester was moving it means OK... if not open the speaker carefully and reconnect the wire by using soldering iron & lead.
