you might have a blockage in your filter or in the pump,first i would find out where your waste pipe goes out to if it is plumbed out through ur sink take the hose off and hold it in a bucket and turn the unit on you should hear a sucking sound and if the does now drain then have a look in the sink waste trap it is very common for the sink waste to get blocked
