Bosch classisxx dishwasher blockage

I have a problem with a Bosch classisxx dishwasher - it wasn't cleaning, nor emptying of water fully, so I checked to see if there was some blockage, but couldn't find anything much. It seems to me that the blockage lies somewhere inside the machine. Is there anything that I can do? Should I turn the machine on its side and try to get to the underneath?

sounds crazy but my lg was doing the same thing, i got so pissed off that i poured boiling water from the kettle into the drain and worked a treat. now whenever there is a blockage error i do this and it works everytime.
