If the door switch is faulty, you can manually open the door.

Get a flat screw driver or butter knife, open the little door on the bottom left of the machine, from right to left.

this is the lid for the water pump filter. You will see a red plastic ring which is normally screwed on to the machine with a philips head screw. Unscrew the ring from its position and pull down until the door pops open.

Good luck.

ASKO W6461. Washing machine won't unlock and my clothes are stuck inside! Tried turning it off and on. Tried to turn to another cycle. Tried to hit the unlock button. Any idea?

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa.

Have you checked the pump to insure the filter isn't clogged, or do you know where it is and how to check it ? In the event it is clogged or the filter obstructed, will prevent the door lock from releasing.

This is by design, but it's easy to confirm or dismiss.

Check as follows...

Let me know if any of this isn't clear and I'll attempt to help you move forward. Once you've cleared the pump filter or ruled out it was indeed blocked or not, you can now pull the manual door lock release located in the same area.

Let me know how you make out. Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck. Please take a moment to rate the info provided for you here today at FixYa.

I have an asko quattro front loader washing machine it wont spin out properly leaving my clothes wringing wet can you help?

Hi, Welcome to FixYa. Have you checked the pump to insure the filter isn't clogged, or do you know where it is and how to check it ? If its clogged it won't allow the clothes to spin out enough due to water extraction being prevented. The insert/filter is located on most Asko washer below the main basket door behind a toe panel or square access door. Once found, turn it counter-clockwise to remove it and clean inside thoroughly. Let me know how you do or if you don't understand or even needing more assistance. Thanks for choosing Fixya and good luck. Regards, Macmarkus :)

The machine will not go on. It is stuck. It is a front loading Asko. I opened it and took out clothes by popping it open. Now nothing works.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I wonder if you could elaborate and clarify on the issue and the events which led to it as well as the model number of your Asko.

When you say "machine will not go on. It is stuck", is there no power, no led indicator light or it just won`t start.

Specifically what you mean by "I opened it and took out clothes by popping it open".

Do you mean you opened via the button which "pops" it open, or did you pull the emergency pull cord or in fact force it open some how ?

Also when you state "Now nothing works" does this mean the unit has no power and will not come on or does it just mean there appears to be power, but will not start.

I should be able to assist you when I can speak directly towards your model as opposed to generalizing since even within the Asko brand there are many models to cover.

I`ll watch for your reply.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Not only is my asko washing machine leaking, the code "F3" flashes continuously, and my clothes are locked inside. What does "F3" mean? and how do I get the door to unlock?

F3 is a blocked drain...open coin trap remove blockage... also in the trap door is a red release string.. remove screw and pull it will release the door...

Hope it helps if NOT let me know more about your problem... and I will help

ASKO washer WL6511XXLPP

Purchased ASKO Washer WL6511XXLP and Gas Dryer with pedestals, 12/01/09. It threw a drum paddle during 2nd. wash cycle. Damaged several articles of clothing.
ASKO replaced the paddle 2/19/09 after a lot of phone calls (lip service from the ASKO 800 #). They claimed the part had to come from Sweden (reason for delay).
Washer threw another drum paddle during 4th. wash cycle. Damaged several more articles of clothing. We have made no claim for the damaged clothing, the retailer has been cooperative.

ASKO has promised to replace the washer after the retailer we purchased the washer from, strongly encouraged them to do so. We are still without a washer (03/23/09). My wife and I are retired, I am 76. Point being; we do not abuse washing machines and we don't like going to a launder-mat.
I know this is not the venue to address this problem, but am at my wits end.

Asko 12605 overheating the wash water

(even not taking in hot water when filling before the wash stage which seems good)

The washer fills with cold water then heats it up 3 degrees a min. Your problem does sound like a faulty thermostat. Especailly if the glass door does get hot even if it is on 85f.

The water temperature fault indicator is on

I think te problem may be the Termistor(temperature sensor) that is faulty. You need a technician from Asko to replace it.
