I have a motorola hint, and I just pulled it out of my pocket and it was off and will not turn back on. Plugged it in and it says invalid battery...what do i do?

Hi, try removing the battery and then putting it back in, if doing this makes no difference then this means your going to need to get a new battery, the cause of the problem is down to one of two problems the first likely cause is that the battery has over heated and the phone is shutting down to prevent any further damage, the second problem could be that the battery has several bad cells and is not holding any charge so replacing the battery will solve the problem.

if you have not had the phone from new then the chance are the battery is the wrong one so changing it to the correct type will get your phone sorted.

the best thing to do is take your phone into any small phone shop as these are cheaper than the big brands and they will then try a new battery in the phone for you and test that it works before they sell you a battery doing this will tell you if the phone is damaged also.

it could also be that one of the battery terminals on the phone has come away from the board due to bad solder but this can be checked when new battery is inserted.

get the battery changed first and this should solve your problem

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

MY droid fell out of my purse onto the ground and I didn't know it. I found it the next morning in the grass and it had rained that night. The screen was blocked by moisture. I laid it in the sun to dry....

Technically that phone is dead by factory and your phone carrier. You only have a few options :

* If you have insurance then replace the phone.

* Buy yourself another phone and swap the simcard to the new phone.

* Take it to a third party technician who fixes cell phones and have them clean out the phone and try to get it running for you, JUST KEEP IN MIND THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES IF YOU CHOOSE THE FINAL OPTION, DO NOT HOLD THE TECH LIABLE IF IT DIES IN A A DAY A WEEK OR A MONTH!

Good luck...

You need to get this replaced, it is a manufacturer's defect so make sure to let the sales staff know and don't pay anything for a replacement!!

I just bought a new battery, and it is the bk 60, which is the same as the original one. I try to charge it, and it is says invalid battery. I know it's not the battery because it is new. It won't let me...

Check to make sure the contacts on the battery and phone are clean and not bent - if everything looks good, then the most likely explanation is that you were sold a defective (or fake) battery.

Invalid Battery

Totally discharging the battery is the way to go. But what you can also do to use your phone in the meantime is this. Plug your charger into the phone withOUT your battery in. It will tell you "Unable to Charge." When it says this, put the battery in. It might tell you "Invalid Battery" a couple more times, but it did eventually say "Charging Battery" for me. After that, simply turn the phone on and it will return to normal. This is when you drain the battery completely. Once I did that, I did not get the invalid battery error again.

maybe you bought the wrong battery model for your cellphone.. you should make sure that the old model is exactly the same with the new battery that you bought.
