28 inch Hi get whistling noise but not all the time any solutions.

Have a look around the TV and see if you have any recording equipment there if there is move it that will stop the whistling.

This tv problems is a very easy thing to fixed.Take the tv aparts.The FBT-(Flyback transformer) the big block of plastic with a red wire with a cap hook to the tv CRT-(tv tube).At FBT that body of that big block of plastic there is a 3" of steel rod like a paper clip on that big black block of plastic have high voltage current gap.That the whistling noises came from.Get some Supper Glue and put it on that 3" of that rod of steel look like a paper clip and help to seal that gap.The whistling noises will stop for good.

Sony wega 28 inch colours wrong, circle on screen

It sounds that there is some magnet near by TV that is affecting picture tube. Please remove any extra speaker or any thing that has strong magnet inside, unplug TV for 20-30 minutes, replug back in, turn it ON, hope that will solve your TV problem.

hi there, you do have a big problem at your tv, the loud bang means a part is broken, maybe you will cost 50 % of the original price of your tv. ty

Occasional 'whistling/whining' from back of TV

I wonder if there is enough air circulating around your equipment?? My DVD recorder makes a sound unless I open the doors on the cabinet that contains all of my equipment. The cable company says it is a fan to cool down the units.

High pitched buzzing driving me mad!

Coils and trasformers create this noises,a qualified tech will have no problem find it,You should not do it if you dont know how and where to look.

Continuous low whistling or thin buzzing noise

The high pitched sound is an indication that theres a short most likly in the Hi voltage sweep section or power supply and with out the proper training you should not even take off the back as there are no user replaceable parts inside of these sets. All the parts are soldered in and you can not look at them and see that they are bad.. its almost like when your check engine light comes on you look but what do you see without a computer to read the on board computer vto see what the problem(s) are. Take the set into or call a pro to assist you with this repair. good luck
