Fisher price digital arts and craft studio

It seems many people are having issues with this. I am also having the video memory problem. when going through the i9nstall process it pops up this message... "This computer does not have enough Video Memory to run the Digital Arts and Crafts Studio. A minimum of 64 MB is required."

i've triple checked everything and my system more then meets all requirements and has more then enough video memory to run this.

i found this suggestion on this site...

Finally able to install...Copy the contents to the CD into your hard drive, edit the Options.ini file so that it reads ShowVideoAdapterDetails=1. It will allow you to bypass the video memory check....Hope this hel

I copied the contents of the CD onto my hard drive, but there is no Options.ini file. Just a DirectX folder, AutoRun and setup. Options.ini is not found inside the DirectX folder. any help or suggestion would be drastically appreciated. thank you for your time and effort.

The OPTIONS.INI file is there on the installation disc, its just hidden. EXPLORE the contents of the installation CD, the click TOOLS at the top of the screen>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW>tick "SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS. The OPTIONS.INI file can now be seen (along with other hidden files). Copy the whole lot to an empty folder on your desktop. Go to this newly created folder and open the OPTIONS.INI file. Just change the 0 to a 1 at the end of the command line in the file and save the change when prompted, then double click the SET UP file to launch the installation from your hard disc. This worked a treat for me and my daughter is very happy now. Thanks for the other help provided is this forum, Happy New Year! Steve.

The details about your computer is not mentioned

Try to have these

750mhz processor
256mb memory
64mb video ram
1024x768 video resolution

windows vista/2000/xp

If your computer configuration contain all these then

if your computer is overloaded with graphics and games softwares then uninstall some of it

it will work

The option file that you need to edit is in the same list as the directx folder not in the directx folder.

heya definitely is a video card issue. First you MUST have at least 75meg ram. Next, try this:

1. Bring the "Display Properties" dialog window (right-click on the desktop, click on Properties)
2. Click on the "Settings" tab. (make sure your screen resolution is set to 1024 by 768, and the color quality is 32 bits)
3. Click on the "Advance" button (this will bring a new dialog box)

On the newly opened dialog box:
4. Click on the "Troubleshoot" tab
5. Set the "Hardware acceleration" to "Full" (drag the slider all the way to where it says "Full")
6. Click "Apply", then "Ok" (this will close the dialog box)
7. Close the "Display Properties" dialog window by clicking on the OK button.

Try turning the toy ON now. If it doesn't work, try lowering the Acceleration to as low as possible.

Maybe you can make your kid's own ID on the computer so they can log in to this and not bugger up your own log in.

I hope this helps.

Can not display this video mode

Try pressing F8 during startup to get the safe mode menu up. Select "vga mode" for the pc to boot at low spec graphic settings then change the settings back to normal in control panel. Sound like the studio had set your graphic to a setting your pc cant cope with.

hope this helps?

You cannot type a password. The keyboard and mouse are disabled once the software starts.
you must use the stylus (pen) on the tablet to click on each letter for your password.
