My laptop (Dell Latitude D600)is not charging. Bought new power cord and battery but still not charging. All battery life now over so can't use laptop. Please help!

its a issue with the mother board,, your not the only one!!!
I have 2 d600 with the same problem!! i tryed a new bat and new cord,, no help,, its the mother board,,, $50-$60 on ebay...IF YOU Find the right tech it should be no more then $160 to fix
Sounds like you should try a regular Dell factory refurbished battery. Or if not that, try a battery that you knows works for sure. Then try charging it up, if it doesn't charge up then you know its a situation with the motherboard.
I would say its defective. Bring it back to where you bought it and show them. Bring your laptop charger also so you can show them it in action. Hope this helped.
Its ok. Um just leave the battery plugged into your laptop and the power cord plugged into the laptop as well and the laptop will charge it for you. If it won't, the battery is no good and get a new one but you don't need a external battery charger to charge your laptop battery.
may i know the older Dell laptop you have, & also the new Dell LAtitude laptop you have now.... charger must meet the exact wattage and amp of the laptop..
