Question about KitchenAid KWVU205YBA Kitchen Hood
The light and fan will only function when the sliding hood has been pulled out about 2". Any other location and nothing will work. I figured it was the microswitches in the sliding track. Nope that didn't do it. I am now leaning to replacing the electronic switch membrane. Anyone have any experience with this? Thank you.

SOURCE: Fan runs continually
Could be. Cut off the power first. Remove the fan box cover and discover the switch location. If you have a continuity tester, you should be able to test the switch. Sometimes, they even jam with cooking grease. If in doubt, replace it.
