No paper jam, but keeps stating printer

This is an indication of the machine being unable to feed the paper. Since this is a rear feed machine sometimes things can fall into the paper feed slot so I would remove the paper and look into the port where the paper goes. Also while your there look for a small rubber tire that feeds the paper in. If you can get to it try cleaning it with a cloth and some glass cleaner. They will get paper dust built up on them and not feed properly.
