Question about Denon AVR-1700 Receiver
Was hooking up new HDMI DVD player (works fine) but while at it I tried to connect new HD TV to receiver via optical cable. Receiver was still set to DVD for Optical Input device. Had sound on center speaker for a bit, but then all sound stopped. Now no sound from any source (tuner, CD, DVD).
Did I fry something, or do I need to reset something?
I have a similar problem. I connected a Toshiba HD-a2 dvd player and cannot get digital audio from any of the hd movies. Regular dvd's play just fine. Toshiba told me the receiver is to old and can't process the new format. I was wondering if there is an upgrade for the receiver or any other way I can get 5.1 out of this receiver with out having to get a new one..
